I’m honored to share a deeply personal essay published in the Los Angeles Times about grief, finding love again after loss, and learning that making room for new joy doesn’t erase the love that came before.

The story also reflects an important part of my journey as a grandmother. It explores how opening my heart again didn’t take anything away from my family. Instead, it gave my grandchildren another person to love them and another example that love can continue to grow after loss.
I hope this resonates with anyone who has experienced loss, loved someone through it, or wondered whether it’s possible to carry both heartbreak and hope at the same time.
Thank you to the Los Angeles Times for sharing my story.
